School Choice unfortunately has nothing to do with helping black kids get to better schools, it has to do mainly with taking money out of public schools and putting it into private religious schools, some of which would be teaching far-right religious dogma, even to the point of American Talibanism. Having gone to both private and public schools, including a Catholic one, I can tell you the Catholic school was the worst, the public second second best and the best were obviously the expensive private prep schools which give lots of kids scholarships,a s they can afford to.

In fact, any really smart kid can get into better schools if he/she really tries hard and the parents are supportive. School CHoice would unleash all kinds of abuses. If you want to send your kid to Jerry Falwell Elementary then pay for it yourself.
