Despicable. Sad. But typical, although Anthony Williams has done a better job than all recent predecessors, with possible exception of Walter Washington.

Maybe the District of Columbia ought to be abolished, and absorbed into Maryland and Virginia from whence it came. It certainly shouldn't be granted statehood -- or more appropriately, "hood."
