That's been explained a thousand times; not worth repeating, except to remind your seeming short term memory loss that he was Prez. just before Bush, when all this bad stuff was brewing, being planned for, and on the verge of happening. And Clinton's administration said Saddam had WMD's.

I think you are almost correct. The truth is Bush really is as stupid as he seems and does not know the truth from the fantasy that he is told. It was Cheney and Rumsfeld who thought they would eventually find something, anything, that could be portrayed as a weapon of mass destruction. Did Bush lie if he was too clueless to know?
