The major reason that OBL declared war against the United States, was America's role in enforcing UN Sanctions and the "No Fly Zone" over Iraq. 1993 - OBL organizes attacks against American Troops in Somalia (18 American Troops killed). 1993 - Truck bomb explodes at World Trade Center (6 people killed) 1996 - Khobar Towers bombed (19 American troops killed) 1998 - American Embassies bombed. 1999 - Ahmed Ressam is caught entering the U.S. with 130 pounds of explosives at the Canadian border 2000 - USS Cole attacked (17 American Sailors killed). The reason for these attacks, was America's role in enforcing UN Sanctions on Iraq, and the stationing of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia (to carry out that role).
