To clarify two items for you - swearing allegiance to a foreign power is unacceptable for high public office in the US IMO if Americans knew this was going on, or being withheld, they would think so too. I think the administration knows this is a bombshell and would run like hell or attempt to destroy anyone attempting to make an issue of it. On the matter of hiring convicted felons from previous scandals, this is certainly a valid question to be asked at press conferences. Others have also heard Ari Fleischer stonewall that repeatedly - if you haven't, you haven't been paying attention. I have no interest in running that down for you simply for a pointless argument.
