While this is true, a search option is available to search
only messages on a specific thread when one enters
the thread one wants the search to be limited to.

I use it on Si Classic, and i have heard mention that it may
or not be available if one does not use Classic.

...my kingdom to have back the old (and undocumented) "pmreview" feature. (For those who weren't hip to this, it was a URL substring that lets you view a time window archive of PMs from any specific user that may have fallen out of the mailbox quantity limit. "What are all the PMs that Member X sent me in the last 6 months?"). Very useful!
