Well, in this case it was only dodge-ball in that the mother was trying to dodge the ball of getting held in contempt for not producing her daughter for visits, and the father kept getting higher and higher courts to keep throwing the ball with more and more authority until she finally ran out of courts and had to admit that she had been fairly and truly stuck out of the game.

Each of the courts found exactly the same thing -- she had the obligation to produce the child for visits, she wasn't doing her part, she was in contempt of court, bingo bango wham.

The one I feel sorry for is the daughter who got zapped by both sides. I'm sure once the real fight started here Mom was on her like a blanket trying to encourage her to say how much she didn't want to go see Dad. One of the few positive things of the whole situation is that apparently Mom's lawyer had enough ethics not to throw in declarations by the daughter charging all sorts of nasty things. That's what usually happens in these cases. It's a relief that it didn't happen here.
