Saddam wasn't doing anything to US! He was trying to comply when Bush invaded! I don't care about Saddam, don't get me wrong. He was a terror in his own borders, but no proof at all that he was a threat to US. And no WMD. If there ever were any there would be some proof by now. There were no WMD. Saddam was a threat to Israel and since they run the US I guess that was reason enough. And then there's the oil, always the oil. But that's not working out like Bush planned either. Dictator's always have unexpected problems.
