Yes, I saw that post last night. To claim that Bush only had two choices - to do nothing or to invade Iraq as he did - is indicative of a less than perceptive mind. That post, and the one that responded to my post about the brutalizing effects that occupations can have on young minds, by misconstruing I was somehow smearing Vets, were both depressing. It would be nice to have some intelligent conservatives appear on this thread - you know, someone with whom you could have a conversation. I don't believe that either liberals or conservatives "have all of the answers". And I appreciate the irony that a conservative military man, Eisenhower, was the first to warn of the peril this country faced with the Military Industrial Complex.
