"even if he disliked homosexuals or Jews per se, as long as his dislike has a tangential impact on them, it is not your business to force him into close contact with them"

There is nothing tangential about the scenario. If I went to this Moho and he asked me if I were a heterosexual and upon my answering "yes", he proceeded to inform me that he was sorry but he would find the act of providing professional therapy to me very distasteful because of my sexual orientation as a straight...BUT that...(because he had a good heart) he would send me down the street to mona's plasce where they were not so highly principled...then you can believe that some lawyer would be making a lot of money!

Your repeated attempts to minimize and to do damage control have simply exposed how shallow the "distasteful" defense for bigotry really is.

"It is one thing to forbid discrimination in a commercial apartment complex, for example, but in a context of a basement apartment"

What on Earth are you talking about?! You are inventing issues again and wasting my time with misleading statements as you box with air. I am not in Jewel's basement. I am on a Bulletin Board where I am a member. Nor am I forcing jewels to do anything. I am giving him feedback on his discrinating against people and I am giving him my opinion that it is contemptible and ugly...and would undoubtedly be actionable.

"Third, I saw zero analytic value in your allusions to the Holocaust and slavery"

That is merely your opinion. You will pardon me for attaching no great value to it under the circumstances considering as I do that it was ill-conceived and contaminated with a personal bias which fairly reeks. The captious nature of your posts on this matter coupled with the annoying caviling which seems lately to define your style are sufficient to cast suspicion upon any of your opinions--if not all.

In this case your objections are so contrived and misleading as to be noisome.

Again, nobody is forcing Jewels to do anything. This is a place for the free exchange of opinions. Jewels asked for feedback and he got it overwhelmingly. Speaking for myself, I expressed my opinion that I found his illustration repugnant and contemptible, and his entire presentation to be evasive, dishonest, and (above all) childish.

I have noted that you agree with his discrimination, and you do not consider him to be unworthy. You're entitled to your opinion. I think it, however, to be ill-conceived, and to rely very heavily on your hostility--and I consider the values you are expressing to be worthy of denunciation in the strongest possible terms.
