The Arab leaders have used the Palestinian issue to keep themselves in power. This is true from Arafat, who has become one of the wealthiest men in the world although his cohorts may control his wealth, to the OILogarchs and tyrants of the Arab world. Saddam was just one example. Keep his people focused on this issue instead of torture, murder, rape and theft by the regime. You are talking out of an orifice not normally used for communication. The vast majority of Israelis would support the trading of land for peace.
