Bizarre problem.

I have a new work computer running XP Pro. Things were working reasonably well until the other day. For some reason I now can't get any search engine pages to load. All other internet content appears to load fine, but all the various search engines will not come up: google, yahoo search, msn, etc.

At one point when I tried Google, I got a page: "the page you are looking for does not exist on this server" There was a logo for cpanel.net that brought up their web site if you clicked.

Anyone ever encounter a problem like this?

This is totally unlike anything I've ever encountered.
