<<Would the great communicator ever bring this issue to the attention of the masses to save one of them from the same fate?>>

From what I have read about Rush's hearing loss, it was genetic. Lifestyle had nothing to do with it. On the same note I had a friend who had a genetic condition that when they hit their mid 50s their lungs started to collapse. That couldn't be corrected.

Defiant Rush Limbaugh Hires Lawyer for Drug Probe
by URI DOWBENKO

"I really don't know what I'm dealing with," said Rush Limbaugh on his radio show Friday, declining any comment on the ongoing South Florida drug probe. "Just trust me on this," Limbaugh pleaded to his radio fans, called "Dittoheads," whom he elevated to "family" status in his angst-ridden rant.

Meanwhile Limbaugh has hired prominent Florida criminal attorney Roy Black to represent him in the case.

Allegations that Limbaugh bought prescription drugs on the black market in Florida began when his former Palm Beach estate housekeeper Wilma Cline told the FBI she helped supply Limbaugh with thousands of pills of the highly addictive drugs OxyContin and Vicodin, over a four-year period.

According to reports, Cline claimed she made the black market purchases in such locations as a Denny's restaurant parking lot, and that she wore a surveillance wire during at least two of the purchases.

In his opening rant-monologue, Limbaugh was unapologetic about his resignation from ESPN or his controversial remarks about African-American NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb.

True or not, Rush is smart not to comment until his Lawyers have talked to the DA.

I expect, if it is true, a full on-line "Mea Culpa" down the line. Personally, I don't see getting hooked on drugs as a criminal offense. But the Media - and the left - will have a field day if it is true. Rush has always lectured against Drugs on his show. He will take a beating over it.
