Hello Frank, nice to see you. I'm bullish energy at this time, although that could change later. However, my only energy holding is RRI for the long run.

If my brother Jim can be 100% invested and be holding instead of trading, then I can increase my position too.

I think the price and volume chart submitted by Tex shows that the OSX is starting to build some momentum. Price breaking up above the trendline with increasing volume is very bullish. We face some near term resistance come Monday or Tuesday so, it'll be interesting to see if the OSX can head higher.

If the broader market decides to pull back next week, I could get even more bullish on energy.

frank p, the board quietness makes me feel quite toasty. i try to do what my charts tell me, so i bought oih several times today. i also saw rdc broke out above its ascending triangle today on kaboom volume. i would not say i am bullish, and i hope this board stays skeptical. oih might walk down the trend line next week, but if it does not duck back under the trend soon the osx stocks could get some play to the upside for a change. if osx stocks get above trendlines and stay above them and get little respect, the more i will keep buying.

Frank,
Which one ? The buys or the you can't trust a good chart post :o)
I've actually gone fairly large RRI.. for me anyway. I'm still not quite off the fence on energy but as you know I bought Batex an oily trust over the last few weeks and now Acclaim (gassy). Nothing like last year though. I still think the trusts are rich so yes I'm looking @ some E&P's too. I agree with t4 on the quiet.. almost soothing..

regards
Kastel

Pemble,

Short term slightly bullish, mid term bearish, long term bullish.

Too many unknowns. But I'm still sticking to my outrageous claim that gas will touch $3.50 this year. -g-

A little lift in the sector will provide a good exit point for those that have clung to a bullish hope all year long. It could also provide a nice entry to short if it's done right.
