My current property is about 300 feet above sea level, which reflects the amount of faith I had in the Kyoto Protocol :-) If I had a property near sea level, I would sell it. Its not just the mean sea level either. Flooding in this country has become a real problem. Lots of houses get re flooded just after they have been cleaned up. Impossible to insure them now as well.

We do know that it's warming up, LB. We can tell that from tree-ring and ice-core studies, and from historical references. Europe has been warming up since we came out of the "little ice age" that lasted from the 14th to the 17th century.

What I don't know, and I don't know that anyone does know, is how much of this warming is caused by man-made emissions of greenhouse gasses. After all, Europe is not yet as warm today as it was in 1100 CE; and the medieval warm period was certainly not caused by industrial activity.
