For the same reason Russia and the US never attacked each other. Russia and the US had a whole lot of deployed and ready weapons. Yes, and it acted as a deterrent. Is that not right? If there was a war and nukes were used. If there was a war and nukes were used.... what? You would want to die? Yes. If its one strike, the fallout would be minor. If its a number of nukes, the results could be devastating. No one know's for sure the full consequences. At least dozens, maybe hundreds, of nuclear devices have been exploded, quite a few of them in the US even if in sparsely populated areas and not all at the same time, and there has been no real devastation except by the two that were dropped on Japanese cities, and they only devastated those cities. The ones exploded in Nevada were mostly underground. However, cancer rates in that area of the country are much higher than normal. Those nukes were also much smaller than present day nukes. It would only take a few of present day nukes to develop a nuclear winter scenario. If the war hadn't been pre-emptive, there would be no rebuilding charges.......there would have been no war. "If the war" means there had been a war by definition. If you say "If the war" you assume a war unless you say something like "if the war didn't happen". Are you having fun playing? And again, there would have no war had we not attacked pre-emptively. My God, once you get on a track, you can see any other tracks. I can see other tracks but the point is you are asserting that you went down one track when you are really going down another. Well, I am tracking out for the nite.
