We don't hear of shooting news from China because China does not allow citizens to own the gun. We have thousands of miners got kill last couple of years. And media don't bother to focus on those negative affect too much. Since the adoption of the market economy, the overall national strength increases a lot. Meanwhile, most are enjoyed by the small elite group. People are losing their job, health care, sense of security, etc. Suicide rate is raising a lot. Do people real happy? I read that the guy who burn himself because of the former employer who offered the buyout didn't pay 17,000 yuan buyout fees and he didn't know how to get his money. At the same week, a guy jump out of the bridge because the family was forced to move out of the old house and the compensation is not enough to buy a new place to live. The offer usually is a sweet heart deal. But no more since the housing price are all soaring in Beijing to rich the real estate guru. I think you can't force people to move unless it is eminent domain in US. We should not be hurt to hear the different voices from Rush Limbough to Deng Liqun.
