Why now? Because he is running for Governor now and people who couldn't have cared less before now do. Am I wrong about this? Of course people care more now. That is why it breaks. But the objection is that the LA Times, on their news pages, is acting like a "running dog" for Davis. They had the story and set on it until just before the election. You expect Davis to do this kind of Puke Politics. It is a "no class" thing for the Times to do. He will survive it and win. No one had any doubts about his "Hollywood" BG. Jimmy Carter, at a big Benefit thrown for him by the Hollywood types back in the 70's, said, "I am glad to get to know you people. I just don't want to know you too well!"
