There were a lot of nazi sympathizers in the industrial revolution though... most notably Henry Ford. Lots of others.

I think the industrial rise of Germany prior to the discovery of the atrocities lured some people in. And there was widespread distrust of what was perceived to be a Jewish banking system in Europe.
