Con-Space wins $147,137 order from Air National Guard

2003-10-06 13:32 ET - News Release

Mr. Terence Ibbetson reports

USA AIR NATIONAL GUARD CHOOSES CON-SPACE

Con-Space Communications has received an order from just one division of the Air National Guard for $147,000 (Canadian) of product.

"In July, Nigel Clare, who handles military sales for Con-Space, saw a published requirement for communication equipment for bomb disposal teams," said Con-Space president Terence Ibbetson. "He contacted the project co-ordinator and, as a direct result of his knowledge of how to apply our equipment, the Air National Guard has contracted to purchase $147,137 (Canadian) worth of Con-Space equipment."

Con-Space's bomb investigation and disposal communication system was designed for the job. The equipment is a non-radio-frequency-emitting communication system based on the renowned Con-Space hard-line technology. It allows two investigators wearing protective body armour to maintain private, hands-free, two-way voice communication with each other and an attendant who can be up to 1,500 feet away.

This order is another strong indication of the preparations being made by major organizations for their role in the homeland security and domestic preparedness program in the United States. Con-Space equipment is well placed to meet the needs of rescuers, law enforcement officers, hospital decontamination centres and security, both civilian and military.
