I guess the difference (as I see it) is this: when I am forced to spew toward another (perhaps to express my disapproval of a breech of ethics or taste--or perhaps merely to express my "distaste" for the character or the words of an individual)--I try to direct my "distaste" toward a particular individual and NOT against his sexual orientation, gender, colour, hair, teeth, eyes, etc. In this case I have been expressing my firm opposition to bigotry and self delusionary "justification", while at the same time attempting to control small fires of rage and insult and prevent them from representing as "argument" in the minds of the casual observer. It is true, I have attracted more than a fair share of hostility and viciousness (from people such as Jewels and Neo) due to my uncompromising exposure of and my firm stance against religious doctrines (FROM ANY AND ALL RELIGIONS) which are contrary to human interests and values. I could be more conciliatory (as yourself), but then there would be one less person left to keep half-truths and cunning misrepresentations from being spread across the pages of SI. Thoughtful post, by the way...

"Solon had some legitimate points among the barbs, though, that you refused to address. This statement and a few similar too it drive me up the wall Karen. This allegation and its cohorts are the very complaint I have against you. Like I said, I have revised my view of you. However, for the sake of consistancy I will not let it pass... NAME ONE. ONE LEGITAMATE POINT that was raised that I did not respond to from anyone... Early in the discussion he asked a few fair questions which I did respond to. Then when he had no relevent point left he went off on his twisted rambling alegations (that he is most famous for). If you are talking about the baited and hateful slams, you are right, I didn't dignify them with a response. Prime examples were questions about why mojo thinks females and homosexals are inferiors. That is like me asking you why you haven't stopped cheating on your husband and demanding proof. There was nothing in the mojo scenario that supported such mean baited allegations, and for the first incidences of these cruel posts I clarified that for people. When solon began sending them rapid fire with increasingly personal attacks, I determined he was just being wacko out of frustration. I have no doubt in my mind of that at this point. He eventually admitted that he saw the supernatural muslim boogie man behind it all, and stated that Chris was in agreement with him. Honestly, I think that is what has you hung up as well. He is clearly THE most bigotted person I have ever personally come in contact with. Of course he doesn't see that, because he is not hateful to the TYPE of person who matches his particular view point...duh

For my part, I believe I accurately exposed solon for his malicious and hateful spewing. If you believe that calling someone who is behaving badly a bad behavor is spewing then fine. I think you are grinding an ax and your judgement is tainted. I also, consider what you do as being false allegation. You are very sneaking, deny a alot, actively act to enable others and then claim the high road of arbitrator. You are doing it right now. If you had (and I figure you did more than you admit) read solons postings, you know how twisted they were, you also know that my responses were as fair as they could be. Trying to equivocate the two at this point is exactly what I have described above.
