Re HL I am still a little uncomfortable with the situation

in Venezuela

<Guaniamo Mining, whose shareholders include a group of private U.S. investors and Canada's Teck-Cominco Ltd. (Toronto:TEKb.TO - News; Toronto:TEKa.TO - News), was seeking clarification from the government as to why two of its concessions, El Toco and Cerbatana, were revoked last month. These represented 25 percent of Guaniamo Mining's total holding.

The Energy and Mines ministry alleged that the company had failed to pay taxes relating to the mining titles.

But mining industry sources said the government move was a surprisingly hostile gesture towards a company that had worked in Venezuela for many years and whose flagship diamond project was slated to start later this year.>

Chavez seems like kind of a loose cannon.
Interesting also that for the Venezuelan Govt apparently they consider it optional if they honor a claim or not.
