It was one of the deadliest attacks in the past three years, prompting new calls for Yasser Arafat's expulsion. About 40 people Jews and Arabs were wounded in the attack on the Arab-owned Maxim Restaurant in the northern Mediterranean port city of Haifa. The militant group Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the Sabbath bombing, according to Israeli media. The attack came two days before Yom Kippur, or the Day of Atonement, the holiest day on the Jewish calendar.

Totally agree...but add to that the prior Adm "containment plan" ...yep, we sure did contain those terrorists with that plan, all right <:((( ! And as you know, I have been asking for some time my left veering friends to show me a single place where any of the Dem 10/9 have said a single word about their vision of how to deal with terrorism. So far, NADA. Hubby says much of the left shows fanatic emotionalism with little or no actual facts to work with. As far as the attack on Isreal this AM....Arrafat MUST GO~~ and go AO! My biggest fear.....as an American....is that our leaders cave to terrorists via the European non-plan. No one on the left has even mentioned how they would fight the terrorist/organized mafia types who want us all dead. They obviously don't have a plan or they would have laid it out by now. To think that they will hastily conceive of one between now and Nov. 2004 is equally as frightening. I see that the murders continue in Israel this morning. Also......what would the democrats do about that? To my knowledge they have no plans
