Arnohld would grope Maria, if she had anything to grope. As she doesn't, he has to satisfy his groping urges on other women. It must be torture for him, wanting to grope, yet having nothing to grab and squeeze! I'm sure it just boils over on occasion, and he can't help himself. He's a victim, not a perp.
