But you had an interesting comment about "I'm Evil" thing. I just thought I'd make hopefully last comment about Stalin. Stalin started as, Joseph Jugashvilli, common criminal and murderer without cause Then he evolved, with Lenin's help, into, Joseph Koba, a terrorist and mass murderer on a small scale Then evolved into Joseph Stalin, the murderer of 20 mil people Stalin killed one of the best Russian psychiatrists who diagnosed Stalin as psychotic in early 30. So Stalin actually knew that he was an evil man. I dare to suggest that the rest of the group knew that too. I doubt that Pol Pot actually believed that he was killing his people for their own good, etc
