Isn't Trends and TA discussions the main reason

Hi Harry

Normally this is the time of year to buy P&C insurers like HIG, PGR, etc as major CATs normally occur in the spring thru early fall. However, companies like PGR have been agressive in CA and these fires can do some damage.

Also this is normally the time to move back into NG companies. Normally cold arrives in the east in mid Nov to put a stop to the inventory build.
