This is just a sign of improvement of general market conditions. At least it is not bad for AMTL.

When the demand becomes strong, and supplies get tighter, the larger customers such as Sony signs big contracts to make sure chips are there when they need, but the smaller players won't have that luxury to do so, as it was said:

"The implication of this development is that Samsung's top priorities are supplying Sony, Nokia Lexar and SanDisk with NAND flash memory, and that other companies without long term supply agreements may be at a disadvantage," Nguyen said
