Going loco. Queen Mary2 ship is launched. It is made by just rescued Alstom in a French shipyard. It is launched amid a glut of cruising ships. It is too long to and too wide to fit in the Panama Canal and into existing docking facilities.

Alstom was rescued -with half disguised French state help- to save 110.000 jobs. Oh! I almost forgot! The high Euro made ship building in Europe very expensive. Really loco!
