Albert, the History Channel had a program on tonight regarding Stalin. Don't know when they will rerun it, but it was interesting, and as Stalin was as terrible as was mentioned earlier here on PfP.

Russians don't believe in communists anymore so why would they believe in the worst of all of them?

Albert,

I think we (you and me) agree, Stalin was horrible.
I was merely pointing out that some studies indicate that not all Russians share your point of view.

The data collected by various polls, indicates Russia may be ripe for yet another revolution.

While I do believe that you know many Russians who share your viewpoints...what I often read indicates a clear majority do not.

I have learned that even those positions and views held by all of one's friends and family are not necessarily indicative of national sentiment. If they were, clinton would be serving time as a sexual predator and for obstruction of justice.

Many Russians (like some other former iron curtain counties) were used to all decisions being made for them. They were used to the basics being guaranteed for them whether they contributed productively or not. When they were provided the opportunity to become self-sufficient, they started squealing like a Yankee Democrat.

Here is a link to another poll.

adl.org

"Eighty-eight percent (88%) of Russians believe the people who govern them don’t care what happens to them; 80% believe that whether or not they participate in the coming elections, nothing will change. Eighty-five (85%) believe a majority of Russian officials are corrupt; 89% believe a small handful of rich people are ruling the country. An overwhelming majority of 75% believe the Soviet Union should never have been broken up."
