I couldn't find numbers either, but Amnesty International's use of the words "massive scale" when describing the level of human rights abuses is a good indication that, whatever the exact number, we are talking about something significant. In any case, I've heard the number, not including those dead from fighting with Iran, dead from Saddam's killing mill is in excess of 250,000. A number likely to rise as Iraqis themselves begin their own search for the truth in the years ahead.
