Say you can get by the technical hurdles of doing WSI. Now you have a 200 or 300mm wafer that you have to package. Where will this 8 or 12" thing go? My cell phone? For portable devices this is obviously not useful. An M1 Abrams? Big plate, vibration issues.

Only thing I can think of it being used for is what used to be called "big iron", I guess. Of course, one piece of this big pie goes obsolete, the whole thing is toast. What you'd end up with is a bunch of mediocre technology stitched together, at best. And, of course, just wait a couple of years and you could put everything into a smaller package.
