You're complaining about the contracts going to ME contractors (a totally sensible move in my view) and you'd be raising hell if American companies got the contracts.


Can you not stop your bitching? The issuance of the mobile phone contract had nothing to do with Bush unlike the HAL contract.......it was issued by the Iraqis. One would like the Iraqis to favor the Americans in the letting of this contract but I understand why they did not.

The Amer. technology in mobile phones......CDMA by QCOM is not popular in the ME and in the world for that matter. The Iraqis will have more symmetry and continuity with the GSM system.

I am not complaining at all...you should however notice that the Iraqi gratitude does not extend as far as you would you have suggested.
