Its not that I have a problem with "moving away from the state" as the article described but I think its very important for libertarians to remain engaged in the political process as well. If statist ideas receive no challenge in the political realm then those who try to "move away from the state" might be seen as and treated as felons.

Also I don't think most people, or even most libertarians are going to make the effort to make their monetary transactions hard to trace. Sure new techniques and technologies may make it easier but I don't think any more then a tiny fraction of money transactions are going to be hidden through such techniques and I think most of them that will be, will be the actions of real criminals. The government, seeing this will likely, at least occasionally and possibly frequently act like using methods to hide the transactions is evidence of criminality. Even if the state can only find a small percentage of these transactions, the effort it makes to find them will cause the government to be more intrusive unless libertarian ideas gain at least some traction in the political realm.
