Tommaso, Great investment there! Its hard to quibble about a 400% return, no matter what happens next!

Once in while I dabble with stocks in high-political-risk areas but by & large I would much rather take my chances with Mother Nature than politics. Case in point, check out recent news on PetroKazahkstan (PKN), which recounts only the latest of many attempts by the Kazahks to bust PKN's b@lls.

Someone here brought up PKN as a way to play Russian oil investment, to which I disagree. The Kazahk politics are vastly different (and less stable) than the Russian politics. My favorite play on Russian oil is Teton Petroleum (TPE), which, BTW, looks to be finally getting some interest as a result of a change to the owner of the other part of their Russian oilfield.

If you are looking for another Canadian penny stock with huge potential, check out Diaz Resources, DZRA.TO on Yahoo. They are about 3 weeks away from getting to TD on the next well in their Wilcox play in Texas, and on 12/1 they spud a well there that they farmed out to Tom Brown (TBI) -- on a promoted basis no less! I gotta tell you, there's not too many times when you're gonna see a Canadian junior oil company with a C$20 M market cap promote a well to a US company with a Billion $$ (US$) market cap!

For more backround on Diaz, check out their latest slide deck at diazresources.com, plus you might find of interest my posts on them on Stockhouse, stockhouse.com
