It undoubtedly was some ambiguous chicken scratch notes that could be interpreted any way you want.

as in -->

"High grade lead replacement can be seen amidst heavy gossan associated with fault zone against volcanic/limestone contact. Some narrow massive sulphide veins have local high grade silver assays."

It may not have been Newmont's cup of tea, but it was info they could have sold Cominco or others interested in silver-lead-copper. They cannot sell it if someone steals it.

They went over there and staked right away after viewing the data. Ambiguous? Not that much. Where was their recon program in the area? What inspired it? Perhaps. Perhaps.. you know what I think. Somebody looked at a showing and told them about it.

Do you know how 85% of the mines in Canada are found? Prospectors betting on showings, good or bad. A mining company comes along, waits for it to come open, or takes an option and drills it. Very few mining companies run their own grass roots exploration programs, which are very expensive and fraught with danger of long dry periods. Virgina, Eastmaque, and Stratabound run their own. CBR is such a deal, but hey.. where's the beef for the shareholder? Liz's beloved Stealth does a bit. I will enumerate for the thread who I know is doing recon in Canada and abroad. It is not that significant a bunch. Most are doing old showings, buy ins and pointer deals.

jr,
Very hard to say but personally the management at AQI has a good reputation as far as I know. In addition when I inquired with Russ about IMR he said he would not buy it because he did not care for IMR management. So there you go opinions are like -------- everyone has one. <g>
