Yes, I agree. I have heard people talk about stock market investing like it is some kind of perpetual money machine...put money in and you will make money. To them, it isn't about risk, valuations, technicals or fundamentals; it is about how much they will make and how long it will take to make the money. Almost like an entitlement of sorts.

And since it has been such a long time since a real, long term bear has occurred, many of these same people will probably be very slow to exit a declining market, thinking it will come back quickly.
