It seems to me the easiest way to find the leaker would be to go over the phone records of the reporters who recieved leaks during the time in question. Assuming the leaker used the same phone at the same time. Bush doesn't wanna know - after all, it was probably done at the urging of Carl Rove. They need a Haldemann and Erlichman, willing to fall on their swords and take the jail time. I'm not sure Carl or W inspire that kind of loyalty.
