Sidney, I have been posting on this thread since 1995 and a few have posted here even longer than that. The thread wanes and waxes, usually drawing high interest over our different understanding of God's Word. It usually climaxes after weeks of bickering as no one seems to relent from their positional beliefs. Some of us come here with emotional problems. IMO, we are unable to resolve them through traditional means. Some of us have probably been the bane of every Pastor and close relation as we waylay them and overcome them with our determined efforts to have them fix us. When that fails, we come here and lay it all on those whom we have never met before, seeking justification or a shoulder to cry on. When that fails to give us satisfaction, a few began to (hopefully) look on the inside and decide that the world and its ills cannot change. But, ah-ha! We can change within ourselves. It is so easy to really let it hang out when we remain anonymous behind our keyboards. It is one of the few times that we can say what's really on our minds without injury or reprisal of any effect. I have an old saying. "You can just get glad in the same undershorts you got mad in!" We are all at different levels of understanding and some just plainly speak with the thought of "shaking some sense" into the individual. We want to help. Our intentions are good. We are just different. Remember the famous quote by Rodney King, who the L.A. police beat up on camera? He said a very reminiscent thing. "Why can't we just all get along?" WE must learn how to develop tolerance for all. Even those who we would really not like to get along with. All of us have something important to contribute. James
