Chris, re:Arnie has said he wanted to abolish OUR EPA because it was redundant I have not heard this before, on the face it sounds bad. I have no opinion at this time other than California has some very hard choices to make in the very near future. I would hope to hear the cost savings discussions first and then the passionate environmental arguments second. We as a nation cannot afford to fund every governmental organization - even California has limited resources. Arnie said what he needed to say to win. I am surprised both the Dems and the Repubs didn't field "real" canididates - but I suppose there was no time for the regular process.
