My last prediction was Arnold would win. My second to last prediction was that Davis would eke it out. That was a few days ago. I thought he had a chance, but the women didn't care about Arnold's sexual harrassment history. Whatever.

I always knew if Davis survived it would be by a hair. Davis is the weakest major democratic candidate in the nation. He is real milk toast. He never ever got angry. Never ever took the fight to the foes. Started fighting too late and always looked contrived and hald-hearted. I think I could have been a better candidate. This race was about the Bush-Davis economy in California and a helluva personality in Arnold vs. a weak ones in Davis and Bustamante. This wasn't about GOP policies at all. 25% of Dems voted for arnold but Bush is very unpopular in California. So keep things in perspective.

Gregory Peck almost ran for Gov 20 years ago. He too could have won but decided not to run. Clint Eastwood could have done it too if he cared to.
