No, Arnold is not a true Republican. He ran as one, but his ideas are 100% against the conservative social agenda. He also liked and stood up for Clinton.

As for fiscal conservatism, that is a bi-partisan issue, in fact dems are more fiscally conservative than the GOP now. If Arnold becomes partisan and sides too much with the right-wing GOP, his approvals will fall quickly.

Bush wont get more than 40-44% of the vote in California in 2004. He is very unpopular here. Arnold is not going to change that. Most people I know who voted for Arnold cant stand Bush. Bush is another corrupt incumbant who needs to be swept out.
