Another good example of "Cream rising to the top," caused by the opening of the Internet. He has the advantage of being in "Slate" but he would have made it with a Blog anyway.

Good writers who had something to say used to have to fight their way up through the narrow market availible in papers and magazines. Now they can all publish, and it doesn't take long to find them.

This new "Free Enterprise" system just keeps going and going!
