I can see that when it comes to foreign policy where mostly we all have common interests e.g. stopping terrorists attacks, but when it comes to domestic policy, the question is "which people?". What benefits one section of the community often takes away something from another section. That's just life, I don't see any way of getting away from that.

I agree. I also agree that, in many cases, neither the Democrats nor the Republicans have that best interest in mind. It is about the issues, not about who controls what.

We need to fix our economy, and get a policy that does that into place. We need to get the terrorists. We need to fix our foreign policy. We need to balance our budget. All these issues should be above partisan politics, but they never are.

However, as Davis found out, if you can't do the job, you get kicked. A good lesson for Bush to learn before it's too late...
