Hello Michael,

Warren Buffet and his team, quietly standing behind Arnold Swartznegger, may be a watershed event in politics and change far more than California. They say trends start in California, it will be interesting to see how far this one goes.

You make a good point. Yes it will be interesting to see this evolve.

It's only a matter of time before people start crying foul on Buffet. As soon as one of his companies gets some state business or one of his properties gets a variance, the critics will unleash the "Cheney brigade" to Enronize him.

"Auditing the books" is number 2 on Arnie's to-do list for his first 100 days in office. Quite ambitious. I had forgotten about Buffett..his influence should be interesting.

1) Repeal Davis' tripling of the car tax
2) Freeze spending and launch audit of state budget
3) Call special session and make spending cuts to address the current imbalance
4)Get our fair share of Indian gaming revenue
5)Renegotiate state employee union contracts to get better deal for taxpayers
6)Pass jobs package with real workers comp reform
7) Submit 04-05 budget to close deficit and restructure inherited debt
8)Streamline bureaucracy and send more money to classrooms
9) Repeal SB-60, the law that gives driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants
10) Pass Open Government amending and ban fundraising during the budget process.
