If it were a strict contest between Ahnold and Davis, Davis would have won.

That will be the Dem argument, since in the two way recall race the recall got more votes than Arnold did in the three way race that included McClintock.

It conveniently overlooks the votes that McKlintock got that would have gone to Arnold. No way those conservatives would have voted for Davis. And they would have voted. They were madder than hell.
