thanks. that link took me to yahoo, where I see they had historical info.

I just got off the phone with MC/VISA. 10 days ago I called the hotel where I'm staying at Xmas in Whistler, B.C. and told them to put my room charge on my credit card. I figured the US$ is only going to go down between now and the end of the yr. The conversion rate on my credit card was .7625 when the currency was .74 (I don't have historical info on more decimal places)

It turns out that MC/VISA charge a 3% currency conversion fee. I know that when I went to europe two years ago I called and they said there were no FX fees on my particular credit card. The guy I talked to tonight said MC/Visa had been doing this for years. Can anyone confirm this?
