> The fish believe the torch is the moon --- until they end up in the net. Then they don't know what the Hell happened.

Apparently we are observing a similar phenomenon with the goldbugs. Here they all are, sitting on the 200 volt wire, gazing at the moon, listening to stories, dreaming about their future wealth and lulled into tranquillity ---

"They will be told that the Fed and the Plunge Protection Team and the bullion banks and J P Morgan and Goldman Sachs & Co have "suppressed" the gold price, yet again. Bastards!"

Ah yes, sigh, it is an old oft told story, that us bugs have heard many many times, and can recite from memory. Almost comforting, like an old hymn. Bastards!

You, however, not being a gold bug, surprise me with your intimate knowledge of this refrain.

I will now re-acquaint myself by going on the gold bug forums to make sure that the story still holds. I will not report back unless there is some major diversion. Hope you understand.

> the bugs are attracted to the "glittering shine" of what they believe is gold

Stochastics on this weekly chart of the Gold Price indicate that the shine may soon get dimmer.
