Explain these crummy tactics.. Hey, I don't approve of the tactic, nor do I approve of the state legislature walking away from its responsibility. One is as bad as the other. But the inference that gerrymandering is somehow a "republican" feature should be avoided; Democrats have a long-established history of doing precisely the same thing. That doesn't make it okay, but it does at least bring some fairness that the republicans have been willing to challenge the democrats on this.
