Now you could have said this but you did not. Hmmm... "Solon came on board with both barrels blasting and no interest in much more than that." A terrible lie and a pathetic insult. Solon tried for a month or more to rationally discuss the issue. These attempts included myriad lengthy posts dealing strictly with the logic of the matter where he was rewarded with nothing but ballistic lies, insults, and rants. When Solon gave back in kind it was only because all his attempts to nudge you back to honest dialogue met with vituperative abuse. For several hundred more posts he watched as you (Jewels) slurried his name about in third party with rabid hatred and rage. "Chris showed up giving self indulgent speeches about his anti-discrimination activism" Misdirection of the issue, avoidance of topic, and outright lying. "Solon went to solonism fairly quickly" All we know about this is that Jewels intends it as an insult. He started using it alongside potty-mouth remarks when he was unable to defend arguments and went into constant (and it was CONSTANT) insult mode. "I tried encouraging chris to consider the reasoning in this scenario. He said no reasons were of interest to him and went on Shouting from the soap box. I found that irritating and told him so. He proclaimed victimhood and was pretty much adversarial from there on." What he did was try to shove his conclusion down everybodys throat. Any "reasoning" he put forth was addressed and discussed. He simply hated where it led so went ballistic. You know what, I said I was going to do one paragraph only; but I will stop at half a paragraph. I can honestly tell you it turns my stomach just giving any credibility to this sort of crap which might have originated on another planet. Now this was one of his least offensive posts in a long while and it still turns the stomach to go over the lies, the insults, and the totally self-centered and disconnected perspective. The total eschewel of reality is rather frightening. And as I said, one of his less bizarre posts. But you know all this. Your response to his post was contrived, dishonest, and purposely geared to your own agenda. You ignored the lies he told, you skirted his misrepresentation, and you attempted to give his alien mental landscape a rational appearance. We should use you as a "model", you say! Not very damn likely! Rambi, Karen, myself, and others are just against Jewels, right? It is not his hateful third party vicious potty-mouth attacks which is the problem, right? It is not their exasperation over the period of a month of sincere effort to get around his insults and do something productive that rankles, right? And we should all look to you for a model because enabling such irrationality and vicious attacks against others is a respectful rhetorical skill? Some model, allright!
