I once witnessed personally Clemente throwing out two different runners at home plate in a single inning neither throw hit the ground, each a frozen rope from the right field corner the best was a friend saw him retrieve a single down the right field line, with a runner on first he did a pirouette (270 degree turn) and tried to throw out the runner attempting to go to third base HE THREW THE BALL INTO THE UPPER DECK OVER THIRD BASE the guy had a pure rifle for this feat, he earned a standing ovation he did not tip his hat, but rather walked quietly back into position without any acknowledgement Clemente was pure class, the best of the best !!! / jim
